Movie Star Entrepreneur Show – Episode #133

Video Quote of the Day: ¬†”Every time I buy a $2000 product I end up feeling that it wasn’t worth the price. ¬†I see to it that I get my money out of it, but I feel a bit of distaste.”

It’s easy to see that most internet marketers ship junk. ¬†Even the gurus ship mediocre products that they really just slapped together.

The best product I’ve ever seen so far in the internet marketing community has been Video Boss. ¬†I got to see first hand all the work that went into creating that product. ¬†It took a lot of smart people a lot of months to get it all completed.

Most people just throw stuff together, slap a $500, $1000, or $2000 price on it, make their money, and repeat.

Every time I buy a $2000 product I end up feeling that it wasn’t worth the price. ¬†I see to it that I get my money out of it, but I feel a bit of distaste.

Not a lot, but just enough to think of the marketer in a slightly distasteful manner.

That slight distaste is huge. ¬†It widens over time and once that distaste is there, it’s very hard to remove it.

Now think of what Steve Jobs did with Apple.

He doesn’t ship unless he has a truly revolutionary product.

He goes the extra mile and in return, his company is viewed as a revolutionary company.

If internet marketers keep putting out mediocre products, eventually someone who puts in the extra effort is going to take over, and when they do, they mediocre people will be left behind.

Movie Star Entrepreneur Show – Episode #73

Today I met up with my two brothers and we went and shopped for a new MacBook Pro for my brother Joe. ¬†After we picked it up I got to thinking how many Macs we now have in our family (I’m not hitched with a wife and kids, so I mean my brothers and our mother…when we all get together for holidays there are a lot of Macs at my Mom’s house.)

I bought my first MacBook Pro about 5 years ago and haven’t looked back. ¬†After seeing my Macbook Pros and IMac when I’m around, the rest of the family has saw how nice they are.

Spendy, but well worth it.
