With the implementation of the Facebook Timeline, photos are becoming more prominent than ever.
If you have a witty, creative photo, it can get more comments, likes, and shares than anything else.
So I decided to start creating photos with sayings that will cause interaction.
I had saw a friend who reshared an image that was black with white font, that said, “Describe your sex life with a movie title…”.
I decided to make it a more attractive image, but use the same words, and created this:
I then posted it to my Movie Star Entrepreneur fan page here, and then shared it to my personal wall to see how people would engage.
Since it was related to movies, it fit well to help with my brand.
On the post on my Movie Star Entrepreneur fan page, I had 72 comments.
Since I have yet to promote this fan page, and only have 349 fans, that did really well.
I also gained 5-6 fans from it. Not record breaking, but it’s a start.
However, I was the only person to reshare it.
The problem with controversial topics like sex, politics, or religion is that it may get a lot of comments, but people are often hesitant to reshare it to their friends.
So next time I’ll think of something that others will be more likely to reshare.
On my personal wall, the reshared photo got 137 comments.
Now a few days out, it shows me the insights.
It reached a total of 980 people, and shows 45 people talking about it.
The image was clearly fun for people to interact with, and many people posted multiple movie titles.
This one received 2 shares, so again, people were hesitant to reshare.
I’ll continue to experiment, and post the results here.
Let me know any viral photos that you’ve enjoyed, and I may reimage them for my experimentation on my Movie Star Entrepreneur fan page.
