Movie Star Entrepreneur Show – Episode #147

Video Quote of the Day: “Snoop: ¬†You gotta tell the truth, I’m good huh? ¬†Me: ¬†I’ll tell the truth, you’re not bad. ¬†Snoop: Don’t say not bad!! ¬†I don’t wanna hear that shit! ¬†I’m good. ¬†Lay down for talkin’ that bullshit.”

I found some great green screen footage of Snoop Dogg, Tiger Woods, and Kimbo Slice on Youtube and decided to have some fun with it.

Here is the first clip I did playing Snoop Dogg in the EA Sports game Face Breaker.

I simply listened to his smack talk and responded to it while doing my part in front of my green screen. I then chroma keyed out his video and my video, put us side by side, put a background behind us, and rendered the video out.

If you’re interested in learning how to do green screen (chroma key) videos, I have a course titled, “How to do Green Screen” (creative title) that you can purchase by Clicking Here.

Otherwise, for a quick tutorial, my 2nd Episode called, “How to do Green Screen” will show you a few simple things.

If you want to go to the Movie Star Entrepreneur fan page to pass the video along, it’s here:

How Al Pacino & Marlon Brando Led Me to Thom McFadden – Episode #136

Movie Star Entrepreneur Show – Episode #136

Video Quote of the Day: If you don’t know who Thom McFadden is, look him up. ¬†He’s got an amazing new course at http://NicheCeleb.com (he’s connected to Pacino & Deniro’s former acting coach & spent a couple hours with me on the phone).

I’m being a bit anal, but after I rendered the video I realized I left out the ‘h’ in Thom in the middle during a cutaway. ¬†It reads “Tom” when it should read “Thom”…yeah, yeah, I get a bit picky with things like that.

During Thom McFadden’s latest launch of his Niche Celeb course at http://NicheCeleb.com, he said this:

Folks like Tony Little, Ron Glass, Tim Matheson, Marshall Wayne, Jason Moffatt, Hot For Words, Lorraine Grula, Dave Kaminski, George Strompolos (Former Co-Founder of the YouTube Partner Program) and Weezer have called on the McFaddens — Thom, James, and Tyler — for their strategies.

I was pretty honored for him to include me in this list of people.

Just for fun, I thought I’d throw in the food fight scene with Tim Matheson and John Belushi in Animal House.

From my posts such as What Jason Bourne & Magnum P.I. Taught the CIA About Espionage and How to Be Jason Bourne: Multiple Passports, Swiss Banking, and Crossing Borders, you know I’m a fan of spy novels, movies, and TV shows.

Tim Matheson is former CIA assassin in the TV show Burn Notice for any of you who watch that. ¬†If you haven’t seen an episode, check it out. ¬†It’s one of my favorite shows.

It was such an honor for Thom to include me in that list that it’s no surprise that I’ve quickly become a big fan of Thom’s…not to mention the fact that he took almost two hours out of his day to talk to me and give me pointers.

Check out his course at http://NicheCeleb.com. ¬†Also, no I am not using an affiliate link. ¬†Not that I’m not interested in earning money for things I promote, but I just wanted to do this because I know it’ll be a great course to be a part of.

Plus I think Thom may have me jump on a webinar or two for those who take the course.

Also, I think you’ll enjoy the work of Thom’s sons who are co-creators of the Niche Celeb course.

They help out some big Youtube names with their videos, but also have their own hugely popular series at http://GoPotato.tv.

Many of the videos are between 1 to 2 million views (I wish I could figure out a series to get that many views).

Here are a couple of the videos:

Movie Star Entrepreneur Show – Episode #95

The Youtube sensation Fred is getting his own movie on Nickelodeon. I’m wondering if Nickelodeon is taking any of the creative rights to his work or if they just get the creative rights for the movie they create.

Click Here for the link to the Fred article in The Washington Post.

Question of the Day: Who are your favorite Youtube stars and do you think they should give up creative rights to their work to star on TV or should they continue to grow their fame with Youtube?

10 Social Media Tips For Social Media Success

1.¬† Be interesting and interested - Post things people will enjoy, think is intelligent or witty, comical, and things people can respond to.¬† Not just business things.¬† Post about your workout, some new healthy food you’re eating, or anything else that frames you in an interesting light.

2.  Post interesting videos - Video is able to separate you from everyone else.  The trouble is, right now, most people only post long winded videos that nobody wants to watch.

Learn how to edit video.  Study what makes videos interesting.

Get a flip mini HD, a kodak zi8, or now the iphone 4 has hd video that I’m fond of.

3.  Learn to use Photoshop to make fun Photoshopped images:

Since my brand is as The Movie Star Entrepreneur I’m a fan of doing Photoshop tutorials on how to Photoshop yourself into your favorite magazines.

These images attract attention when I post them and people then want to learn more, they follow me more closely, and go to my blog to learn more.

4.  Say thank you to every single person who wishes you Happy Birthday:

I just had my 33rd birthday on August 25th.¬† Between two Facebook accounts I had at least 500 people who wished me Happy Birthday.¬† Even though they probably didn’t expect me to personally respond with a thank you, I did.

To every single person.¬† I even commented back to some of them about recent things I’d remembered from their status updates.

I’ve had several people comment about the fact that they saw that I responded to everyone and couldn’t believe I took so much time to do that.

It took maybe 2 hours to do…maybe 3 or 4 on second thought, but was well worth it.

5.¬† On Youtube, from time to time, do a product review for a tech product and get as many back links to the video as possible to increase it’s search visibility.¬† It gets significantly more views than other videos do.

I did an iPad review and it has 315,000 views.  For quite some time it ranked higher in the search than the reviews from every single tech outlet including Mashable, CNN, iJustine, and every other popular outlet.

6.¬† By creating posts that engage others, it tells Facebook that you’re a person that needs to be on the popular news feed section more often. I’m not exactly sure of the algorithm on this, but I know that I see the people more often whose updates I comment on most.

That’s another reason you want to respond back to every birthday wish.¬† You’ve now let Facebook see that you directly have 2 way communication with hundreds of people.¬† You’re bound to show up on their news feeds more often after your birthday.

7.¬† Delete Hateful, Negative People: I delete people all the time who I do not like.¬† I’m fond of having great people around me and I do this by keeping bad people out.¬† I know that the great people will shy away from commenting on my status if they know they’ll might be hounded by haters.

8.¬† Strictly For Me:¬† I toss in some swear words and semi-offensive updates from time to time. I’m not a fan of people who are easily offended.¬† If they’re easily offended it means they’ll look for something to be offended by more than I care to listen to.

To weed these people from my Facebook account you’ll see me intentionally adding an ‘F’ bomb into my status updates from time to time.¬† This’ll cause some people to defined me.¬† Over time I’ll have weeded my friend group down to people I can openly discuss anything with without fearing someone will be offended.

Two weeks ago I prominently repeatedly publicized my interview I was doing with Chantelle Austin who is a world renowned expert on the swinging lifestyle.

It offended some people.  I was more offended that people think they should tell others how to live their life.  I only want people around me who focus on living their own life to the best that they can and leave their nose out of my life and others lives.

9. Use Traffic Geyser or Tube Mogul to push your videos out to many social media video sharing sites.

It’s like free advertising to get your message out there.¬† Make you more well known.¬† Plus it’s a way to get more backlinks to whatever site you’re looking to improve search rankings to.

10.  Direct Everything On Your Social Media Accounts To A Word Press Blog

….better yet, a page on your blog with an opt-in form.

Social media sites are amazing, but they should be considered your secondary outlets.  Your WordPress Blog should be home base.  Direct all your traffic from your social media accounts to
