I’m a big fan of thanking each person who wishes me happy birthday on Facebook. I had around 600 people who wished me happy birthday and I made a point to respond to them all.
It creates goodwill, let’s you get introduced to new people, and shows people you care to respond.
It also let’s Facebook know that the two of you have a communication and you’ll likely appear on that person’s news feed more often. It’s good personal policy and good business.
